We are a passionate group of idealists, futurists, and experts, dedicated to the mission of non-urban regeneration. We seek to build a deeper connection with nature, ourselves, and the communities around us by using creative spaces in non-urban areas to express artistic creativity, promote natural healing, foster social innovation, and support sustainable entrepreneurship. Our team has significant experience in urban planning, policy development, territorial research, and creative business. We understand that times of transition require radical change and believe that by creating more creative spaces outside cities, we can contribute to a more sustainable and balanced society. In addition to our core team, RR has an extensive global network of experts we collaborate with to achieve our mission.

Dimitris Manoukas

Research & Organisational Development
Dimitris Manoukas is a cultural and community manager and social researcher. He has always been fascinated by storytelling, which is why he studied Comparative Literature and Cultural Theory. Hoping to see his favorite stories turn into reality, he moved from humanities to social sciences by pursuing a master’s degree in Cultural Management and Communication. Having experienced the educational and cultural sectors in London and in Athens he discovered that a creative hub is the best way to blend multiple narratives together and unlock their empowering dynamics. He has worked as a community manager and digital branding consultant and has written about art, pop culture, communities, and queerness. Feeling old enough, he decided to start a PhD on sustainable youth employment and engagement policies in peripheral areas, instigated by hubs and coworking spaces. He remains a listener of stories at heart and loves to dive into the unimaginable depths of the web.

Ambassadors

Every country and even region has its own context and policies. Through our workshops we learn how to navigate the different territories, and in order to get a full picture, we collaborate with local ambassadors. They are the eyes and ears of RR when it comes to trends in the field of culture-driven rural development and most importantly: help to start spaces in their country.
